2026 Honda CBR 650R E-Clutch Fails and Switches to Manual Mode Without Warning
For the past five days, I've been experiencing a serious problem with the E-Clutch system on my 2026 Honda CBR 650R. The engine warning light comes on, the E-Clutch disengages on its own, and the motorcycle drops out of automatic mode and switches to manual. This happens suddenly during city riding regardless of speed or RPM, and the system remains in a faulted state once it occurs.
After the problem first appeared, I took the motorcycle to Ankara Honda Tansoy authorized service center. I was told that a software update had been applied and that the issue was resolved — but the exact same fault occurred again just about five hours after leaving the dealership. Experiencing a recurring E-Clutch failure this quickly on a brand-new 2026 model motorcycle is deeply concerning to me, both from a safety standpoint and in terms of basic usability.
I'm requesting that Honda provide a permanent and definitive fix for this E-Clutch malfunction. If necessary, I want a thorough inspection carried out and the faulty components or system replaced outright. If no solution can be reached, I'm asking for the motorcycle to be replaced entirely. Given that this is a brand-new vehicle and that safety is directly at stake, I expect my situation to be resolved as quickly as possible.
