Hipp Organic Combiotic Baby Formula Contains Hair-Like Foreign Material
On August 30, 2026, I purchased a 350-gram package of Hipp Organic Combiotic Stage 1 infant formula from the CarrefourSA supermarket in Kavaklı, Beylikdüzü. When I opened the package at home today, I found a hair-like foreign object inside the formula that appeared similar to a man's facial hair. My baby is only four months old, and I purchase this product trusting that it meets the necessary hygiene and safety standards. Finding such a foreign object inside the formula has caused me serious concern and completely undermined my confidence in the product.
After discovering the foreign material inside the formula, I wanted to contact both Hipp and CarrefourSA. However, when I called, I was unable to reach customer service. I assume this may have been because August 30 was a public holiday. I then went to the CarrefourSA store where I purchased the product, but they refused to accept the product or provide a refund because the package had already been opened.
Although the product has an expiration date in 2027, the possibility of a hygiene issue involving the manufacturing or packaging conditions is unacceptable. The thought of preparing this formula for my baby and accidentally failing to notice the foreign material makes me extremely concerned about what health risk my baby could have faced. A sensitive product such as infant formula must be manufactured and inspected under strict hygiene and quality-control conditions, and an incident like this seriously damages my trust in the brand.
Due to this hygiene concern and the inconvenience I have experienced, I request a full refund of the amount I paid. If possible, I also request that the product be examined and that I receive a written explanation regarding the manufacturing and packaging conditions. I further request that the necessary quality-control measures be strengthened to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.
I expect both Hipp and CarrefourSA to take this matter seriously and provide me with a response as soon as possible.
