Head & Shoulders -5 Degree Shampoo Cooling Claim Disputed

On August 2, 2026, I purchased Head & Shoulders Icy Menthol Freshness Extra Cooling 700 ml shampoo from Metro Grossmarket in Nilüfer, Bursa. I chose this product specifically because the “-5 degree freshness” claim was prominently featured in its advertising and marketing. However, when I, my wife, and my neighbor each tried the product, none of us experienced any additional cooling or refreshing sensation that would distinguish it from an ordinary shampoo.

I believe that the “-5 degree freshness” claim presented on the product packaging and in its advertising does not accurately reflect the actual experience and creates a misleading impression for consumers. I contacted customer service about this issue and provided them with photographs showing the product and its label. Following our communication, they only offered to refund the purchase price.

I am not seeking only a refund. More importantly, I want a clear explanation regarding the “-5 degree freshness” claim used in the advertising, so that consumers are not misled, and I request that the advertising content be reviewed if necessary. I also request that the effect being promised in the advertisement be explained in clear, scientific, and measurable terms, and that the necessary steps be taken to prevent other consumers from experiencing similar issues.
