Halalbooking Refuses $112 Refund After Guest Flees Unsanitary Hotel

Through Halalbooking, I made a reservation (booking number 3161748) under the name Cihan Ş**** for Diamond Elit Pansiyon, paying a total of $481. Upon checking into the hotel, we encountered numerous severe issues, including inappropriate noises that compromised our family privacy, major hygiene deficiencies, a dirty bathroom and toilet, a clogged sink, and a broken hairdryer.

I contacted Halalbooking that same day and explicitly requested a transfer to another hotel. However, instead of addressing my request directly, Halalbooking made it contingent upon written approval from the hotel. Per Halalbooking’s instructions, I met with the hotel’s general manager, submitted all requested information, and repeatedly followed up, but representatives continually stalled me by claiming they were "waiting for a response from the hotel."

Halalbooking later informed me that the hotel rejected a refund for the unused nights under the false claim that I had "continued my stay." In response, I sent Halalbooking an official invoice proving that I stayed at the Mia City Hotel in Izmir during those exact dates, as staying at two different hotels simultaneously is physically impossible.

Following subsequent discussions with hotel management, the hotel acknowledged the unused nights and issued me a direct refund of $249. This refund clearly proves that I did not stay at the property during those dates. Despite this proof, Halalbooking has refused to return the remaining $112. Even though I forwarded all calculations and payment receipts, Halalbooking failed to reply to my latest email.

Throughout this process, I acted in good faith by providing all requested documentation promptly and completely, yet Halalbooking has failed to resolve my grievance, severely damaging my trust in their platform. Considering all supporting documents and correspondence proving my case, I demand an immediate refund of the remaining $112 balance.
