Graco Baby Stroller Exchange Denied After Baby Does Not Fit

On March 20, 2026, I purchased a Graco lightweight stroller from the e-bebek store located inside the Migros in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, for approximately $93. Since I was not given an opportunity to place my baby in the stroller and test it in the store, I purchased the product assuming that it would be suitable.

Shortly after leaving the store, less than half an hour later, I placed my baby in the stroller and unfortunately discovered that my baby did not fit comfortably inside. I immediately returned to the store that same day and within the same time period and requested either a refund or an exchange for a wider model that would accommodate my baby.

During the purchase, I was not verbally informed at the checkout that returns or exchanges were not allowed, nor did I see any clearly visible notice inside the store stating this policy. Nevertheless, when I requested a return or exchange, a staff member categorically refused my request, stating that returns or exchanges were not allowed for baby equipment and similar products.

I find it unreasonable that my request for an exchange was rejected less than half an hour after the purchase, on the same day, simply because the stroller did not fit my baby. I believe this approach is inconsistent with customer satisfaction and consumer rights. I request that the stroller be exchanged for a wider model that my baby can use comfortably and that the store take appropriate steps to resolve the inconvenience I have experienced.
