Google Account Recovery Keeps Sending Codes to My Old Phone Number
I am writing to request assistance recovering my Gmail account, whose username is As*****@gmail.com**.
I have been unable to access this account since approximately the middle or end of 2021. The phone number previously registered for two-step verification and account recovery is no longer active, and I no longer have access to it. Because of this, I cannot receive the verification code required to sign in. I also receive an “Couldn’t sign you in” error during the login process.
I have tried Google’s account recovery process many times, but the system continues to direct me to the old phone number for verification. Since no alternative verification method is offered, I am unable to complete the recovery process.
This account is very important to me. I am willing to provide any information necessary to prove that I am the rightful owner, including previous passwords, the approximate account creation date, devices I used to access the account, and any other identifying information requested.
I respectfully request that Google review my account and provide an alternative way to verify my identity. I also ask for assistance updating the account recovery options with a current phone number or another email address that I can access.
Please let me know what additional information or verification steps are required to restore access to my Gmail account.
