Franke Wine Cooler Installation Damaged My Kitchen Cabinets and No Support Given
We purchased Franke's wine cooler with the code "FMY 24 WCR XS | 131.0669.345" in June 2023 and requested installation from an authorized service on 03.06.2023. During the installation, the product was installed without any information or warnings provided, and the warranty certificate was approved. On 08.09.2024, we noticed water leaking from under the kitchen cabinets where the product was located. When we contacted Franke Authorized Service, the team informed us that the installation site was not suitable, which led to the malfunction. This situation caused the kitchen cabinets to take on water damage. We reported the lack of necessary information during the installation and the issues caused by the faulty installation to the relevant parties. However, over 20 days, the responses we received from various representatives indicated that the responsibility did not lie with Franke. The answer to why the warranty was initiated for a product installed in an unsuitable location was not satisfactory. It is unacceptable that we were only informed about the unsuitability of the installation site after a malfunction, despite a certified installation by technical service. Furthermore, the lack of support regarding the damage to our newly manufactured kitchen cabinets and being blamed for the situation is far from professional.
