Ford Tourneo Courier Mixed Diesel Into Oil and Forced Me Into Frequent Changes
I bought a 2022 model Ford Tourneo Courier with 12,000 km on it. After driving an additional 8,000 km, I had to change the oil three times because the engine was mixing diesel with the oil. I had the particulate filter cleaned, but nothing changed. I consulted several mechanics, and most of them said this is a common issue with these engines. They suggested precautions like avoiding stop-and-go traffic, not driving at low speeds, driving at a consistent speed for 10–15 minutes once a week when the engine is warm, not idling for long periods, and avoiding short trips. I bought this vehicle as a service vehicle, and it’s simply not possible to follow these recommendations in Istanbul traffic. It feels like I have to treat the vehicle like a pet, with specific care routines, rather than use it for work. I’ve been driving for 40 years and have never experienced anything like this. Does Ford or its distributor plan to find a solution to this issue, or will they just ignore it and say, “You should have read the manual before buying”?
