Our company’s 2023 Ford Courier 1.0 Ecoboost Titanium Plus, used for commercial purposes, has had all its maintenance performed at Erzurum Ford Authorized Service, Cindilli Otomotive. After our last routine oil maintenance on 01.06.2024, we encountered a serious issue. About a month later, we began hearing a disturbing noise from under the vehicle. Upon inspection, we found that the underside was covered in oil, and the dipstick showed almost no oil. It turned out that the oil sump plug hadn’t been properly tightened, leading to an oil leak. We had to add 3.5 liters of oil to top up the 4-liter capacity and immediately reported the problem to Erzurum Ford, fearing potential engine damage. On 23.08.2024, we took the vehicle to the service center, where the oil pan was cleaned, the oil was changed free of charge, and the underside was cleaned.
Later that day, the service recommended replacing the front brake pads, which we approved for ₺3,927.96. However, the proforma invoice only listed the brake pad replacement, not the oil change or cleaning services. When we asked for documentation, we were told none could be provided but were assured that all actions were recorded in their system. Despite these measures, the vehicle is still not functioning properly. The engine makes a tractor-like noise when starting, which only quiets after warming up, and occasionally hesitates while driving. Additionally, the vehicle didn’t issue any warning when the oil level dropped, an issue the service claims has now been fixed.
We request immediate action to address these ongoing problems and expect proper attention to the challenges we've faced throughout this process. We kindly ask for a swift resolution and appreciate your understanding.
