FlixBus Issued a $134 Voucher Instead of a Cash Refund
I purchased a one-way ticket through FlixBus for the Sibiu–Budapest route. After realizing that I had purchased the ticket by mistake, I canceled it myself. Following the cancellation, I was issued a voucher worth approximately $134.
I do not want a voucher, and I do not plan to use FlixBus again. Therefore, the voucher is not a solution for me. I absolutely do not want to be considered as having accepted the voucher, and I am clearly requesting a monetary refund.
I contacted customer service and requested that the $134 be refunded to the payment method I used to purchase the ticket, namely my card, instead of being issued as a voucher. Despite this, my refund issue remains unresolved, and I have effectively been forced to accept a voucher that I will not use.
My request to FlixBus is for the $134 to be refunded to the original payment method I used to purchase the ticket, rather than being provided as a voucher. If my issue is not resolved, I would like to state that I will exercise my consumer rights and file a complaint with the relevant authorities. I request that my inconvenience be resolved and that the amount I paid be refunded to me in cash.
