Fitify App Obscures Yearly Billing via Payguru Mobile Payments on Vodafone
On August 30, 2026, I attempted to initiate a weekly subscription on the Fitify fitness application, which advertised a rate of 14.99 TRY per week. Due to deceptive UI presentation and obscure pricing terms (yanıltıcı fiyatlandırma), a lump-sum annual fee of 799.99 TRY was immediately billed to my Vodafone postpaid mobile line via Payguru, alongside an additional 31.90 TRY carrier processing fee, totaling 831.89 TRY.
I canceled the Fitify subscription immediately upon discovering the charge. When I contacted Fitify support, they deflected responsibility, claiming refund authority rests with the billing carrier. Conversely, both Vodafone and Payguru customer service teams flatly refused to process a refund or dispute the transaction, creating a classic runaround designed to frustrate consumer recourse.
Under the Regulation on Distance Contracts and Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, consumers hold an absolute statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days for digital service subscriptions. Furthermore, payment aggregators and mobile operators are legally obligated under BTK (Information and Communication Technologies Authority) and Central Bank (TCMB) regulations to ensure price transparency and resolve unauthorized or misleading mobile billing transactions.
I demand that Vodafone, Payguru, and Fitify immediately reverse the unauthorized charges, crediting 799.99 TRY plus the 31.90 TRY processing fee (831.89 TRY total) back to my Vodafone bill.
