If Findmykids stops tracking your child’s location randomly,
Check permissions first;
• On your child’s phone:
– Location → Set to Always allow
– Enable High accuracy (GPS + Wi-Fi)
– Turn OFF “Approximate location” (use precise)
• Important:
– Limited permissions are the most common cause
Disable battery restrictions;
• Go to:
– Settings → Battery → App battery management
• Do:
– Set Findmykids to “Unrestricted” / “No limits”
– Turn OFF battery saver / power saving mode
• Why:
– Android/iOS may stop tracking in the background
Check internet connection;
• Make sure:
– Mobile data is ON
– Wi-Fi is stable
• Tip:
– Location won’t update without internet
Enable background activity;
• On Android:
– Allow background data usage
– Disable “sleeping apps” for Findmykids
• On iPhone:
– Enable Background App Refresh
Update the app;
• Check:
– App Store / Google Play → Update Findmykids
• Also:
– Restart both devices
Reinstall if needed;
• Delete and reinstall the app on both devices
• Log in again and re-pair devices
Check device settings;
• Turn OFF VPN
• Ensure date/time is automatic
• Make sure GPS is fully ON
