Findmykids app shows wrong or delayed location, how can I improve accuracy?

Delayed or incorrect location in Findmykids usually happens because of weak GPS signal, disabled permissions, or battery-saving settings limiting background activity.

The app relies on continuous location access, so interruptions can cause lag or inaccurate tracking.

To improve accuracy, enable high-accuracy location mode, allow “always” location permission, and disable battery optimization for the app on both child and parent devices.

Keeping Wi-Fi and mobile data on also helps refine positioning using network signals.

You should also ensure the child’s device has a stable internet connection and updated app version, since delays often come from syncing issues.

If problems continue, restarting the device or reinstalling the app can reset location services and improve real-time tracking.
