I Face a Refund Issue After Lesbos Car Rental — Paid for Full Coverage but No Vehicle Provided

We rented a car on Lesbos Island and, to be safe, we also purchased full insurance coverage and all-risk protection, including guaranteed refund options. However, due to passport control and border gate delays, we arrived about 1–2 hours late to pick up the vehicle. When we arrived, we were told that our reserved car had already been given to someone else and that no replacement vehicle was available.

Instead, we were directed to a non-official rental company across the street, which we declined because it was not a recognized or reputable provider. Despite this, the advance payment we had made was not refunded. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering that we had purchased all additional protection packages in good faith.

We demand a full refund of the payment that was withheld and an official apology for this highly unprofessional treatment. After this experience, we will never rent from your company again and will make sure to warn other travelers about such practices.
