I’m absolutely disgusted by my experience with Europcar — especially their Dubai branch, which has turned what should have been a routine rental into a nightmare of false accusations, data misuse, and complete customer service failure. After returning my rental clean, undamaged, and on time, their own staff confirmed everything was in order. Yet, 30 minutes later, I received a report claiming bizarre, fabricated damages like “missing bumpers” and “missing wings.” No proof. No photos. No timestamps. Just laughably false claims after the vehicle had been cleared. A textbook scam tactic. I demanded answers — and was met with silence. Only after weeks of follow-up did they quietly admit: “You will NOT be charged.” No apology, no explanation — just dead air. It felt like they do this regularly and hope no one pushes back. But the worst part? I began receiving phishing emails — posing as Europcar, requesting payment on my rental, citing my real rental ID, masked credit card info, and personal data. Where did they get it? From Europcar Dubai, clearly. This isn’t just poor service. This is a full-blown data protection failure. Whether it was a breach or a deliberate share, my information ended up in the wrong hands, and Europcar did nothing to address it. When I contacted them again, they played hot potato with my emails. No ownership. No accountability. Just more bureaucratic indifference from one useless department to another. Europcar, how dare you operate with such negligence? You allow your Dubai franchise to fabricate damage, ignore concerns, and leak customer data — and then expect trust? To anyone reading this: avoid Europcar at all costs, especially in Dubai. It’s not just bad service — it’s unethical and potentially dangerous. Europcar Dubai is a liability to the brand. You’ve lost me forever as a customer. Unless you make this right — transparently and publicly — I’ll continue to share my story wherever it matters.
