I had previously tried to purchase a flight ticket using my card through Edeams PR. This morning at 08:57, I received an SMS from my bank stating that a $12 charge attempt had been made on my card. Even though my card is disabled for online transactions, the fact that such an attempt was made both surprised and seriously worried me.
I believe that after my previous attempt to make a purchase with this company, an unauthorized or non-consented charge attempt was made on my card. Aside from the messages sent to my phone, I have not yet contacted either my bank or Edeams PR, but I am concerned about the security of my card information.
I request a clear explanation of where and how my card information is being stored, that all unauthorized transaction attempts be stopped immediately, and that I receive written and transparent information about this matter. Additionally, to prevent this issue from happening again, I request that Edeams PR permanently delete my card information from their systems.
