PS5 FIFA 25 Controller Settings Not Working Properly—R1 Button Problem Needs Fixing

I recently purchased a PS5 specifically to play FIFA 25. However, I'm facing a frustrating controller issue: whenever I assign "sprint" to the R1 button, it automatically defaults back to L1. I've tried changing this setting within the game controls and from the main console settings multiple times, but nothing works—the issue persists. I spent a lot on this console and game, so experiencing such basic functionality issues is extremely disappointing.
