Dyson HP04 Filter Produces Bad Odor Despite Being Almost New

I purchased an original replacement filter for my Dyson HP04 air purifier from Dyson’s own website on 28 March, specifically the model compatible with my device. Although the Dyson app shows that the filter life is still at 90% and the product has not been exposed to any user error such as contact with water, in the last 7–10 days an unpleasant and disturbing smell has started coming from the device. When I remove the filter and run the purifier without it, the smell disappears completely, which clearly shows that the issue is caused by the newly purchased filter. When I reported this situation to Dyson Türkiye via their WhatsApp support line, the attitude I encountered was extremely disappointing. While I naturally expected a premium brand like Dyson to stand behind its defective product and replace the filter under warranty, the “solution” the representative offered me was literally: “If the smell continues, you can purchase a new filter.” Instead of replacing a clearly defective, only 2‑month‑old product that is under warranty, trying to sell the same product to the customer once again is completely incompatible with any understanding of customer satisfaction. My purchase and filter information already appear in their system, and I have requested the invoice to be sent to my email. In this context, I request that the defective filter, which has been causing odor despite being almost new, be replaced under warranty without any additional charge, and that I receive a clear apology for the way this issue was handled through the WhatsApp support line. I expect Dyson Türkiye to urgently review this process and resolve my complaint in a manner consistent with the brand image it claims to represent.
