Dyson Charged Me for Repair After Promising Free Replacement

Hello, on July 3, 2025, during a call with Dyson customer representative Mr. T*****, I was informed that I needed to replace the filter of my device. I ordered and installed a new filter from Dyson's website, but the issue persisted. On July 7, 2025, another representative, Ms. Ö***, stated that the problem could be resolved with a new main body and that despite my warranty having expired, a one-time free replacement would be provided. I was asked for my address, but while the process was ongoing, I was later informed that the main body was out of stock and the device would instead be taken in for free service. I approved this and sent the device to the service center, but was later charged ₺4500 for the repair. This is unacceptable given that a free replacement had initially been promised. If stock was unavailable, they could have offered a free repair or an alternative model. Additionally, I was told that the device head was broken and needed to be purchased separately, and I was sent a link for ₺3499. However, once the main body was repaired and returned, my old head started working again. I contacted Dyson to resolve this experience, which is unworthy of such a reputable brand, but after waiting on hold for nearly 30 minutes, I received no resolution.

I was called by the company. In summary, they stated that there was nothing they could do. In other words, since they did not have a new device to replace the one for which they offered a free exchange, they repaired my faulty device and charged me for the repair. Unfortunately, they got away with this. I am sure those who are considering choosing the Dyson brand will take this situation into account. Personally, Dyson is over for me. I wish I had thrown it away instead of having it repaired. We chose this brand by paying 2-3 times more than other brands, but the result is a fiasco.
