Duolingo's Free Trial Scam, Unauthorized Charges, and Unfair Refund Policy

Hello there, I recently attempted to use Duolingo's free 2-week trial, only to discover that they required my credit card information right away. I expected a reminder message when the trial period ended, but on the 14th day, without warning, they withdrew 320 ($40) from my account without my permission for a yearly membership fee! I was outraged, primarily because this application is frequently used by students and other people with limited resources. How can they have the right to victimize others? So I canceled my subscription and asked for a refund, but after reading their refund policies, it became clear how ruthless and strict they were about not returning it. Not only is it unconscionable for Duolingo to defraud its customers in this manner, but its refusal to provide refunds is also an abuse of power. As a result, I demand that they change their policy so that no one is forced to pay for something they did not use. Customers should only be charged for the amount used during their trial period and should be able to cancel at any time and receive a refund. If a solution is not provided soon, I will file a lawsuit with the assistance of my professors and friends - no one deserves to be taken advantage of in this manner!
