DistroKid Restricted My Music Releases Without Explaining the Reason
While using DistroKid’s highest-tier subscription plan, I received an email approximately one month ago stating that, due to “editorial discretion,” I would need to use another distributor for my future releases. Despite this decision, I was never informed which release or which platform caused this restriction. As an artist creating original music projects and planning to release more content in the future, I purchased this membership specifically for that purpose. However, because of this restriction, I am unable to move forward with my release plans.
I have not committed any legal violation, policy violation, or misuse of the service, so I believe this issue is entirely the result of a system-related problem or an incorrect decision. Despite contacting support multiple times, my requests were repeatedly closed without any specific explanation, and I was unable to connect with a representative through live support. This situation has caused both a significant waste of time and serious inconvenience.
I request that my account be manually reviewed in detail by an authorized team, that I be provided with a clear and specific explanation regarding the reason for the restriction placed on my future releases, and that the restriction be removed if no violation has occurred so I can continue distributing my music normally. If this restriction cannot be lifted, I request a refund of the annual subscription fee I paid for a service I am unable to use.
