DHgate Sellers Give Conflicting Answers Over Shipping to Turkey Amid War
On 05/24/2026, I placed two orders through DHgate under the username "moktopcu35," order numbers 319314784171 and 319314784173. Regarding order number 319314784173, the seller messaged me saying they couldn't ship to Turkey because of the war and that I needed to cancel the order. Even though I clicked the "cancel" button in the app, no screen opens up — the system won't let me, so I can't cancel the order.
Despite this, the payment for that order was still charged from my bank account, and I believe it shouldn't have been charged under these circumstances. As for the other order, the one with seller number 319314784171, that seller stated they would still ship the order, even though I was told shipping to Turkey wasn't possible. I don't understand how this seller would manage to ship if deliveries to Turkey can't be made; I asked them to cancel it, but they insist on not canceling and say they'll ship the product anyway.
Even if the products are shipped, there's a very high chance they'll get held up at customs, so if they don't reach me, I'll end up wronged no matter what happens. On top of that, no information at all has been provided about customs fees, and I'm also requesting clear, transparent information on this matter. If delivery to Turkey can't be completed without issues, I want both of my orders canceled entirely, but I can't do this through the app, and meanwhile the money for both orders has already been charged from my bank account.
For all these reasons, I'm requesting that orders 319314784171 and 319314784173 be canceled, that the amounts I paid be fully refunded, and that I be given clear information about shipping to Turkey and customs fees. I also want to note that I can't get in touch with DHgate at all — every email address I've tried comes back as invalid, and I can't send an email or reach any contact channel whatsoever. I want to state that I've been wronged by this situation and that I'm filing this as a complaint.
