Dexcom Sensor Readings Differ Significantly From Finger Stick Results
I purchased a Dexcom glucose monitoring sensor through Medsalus Online, and since applying the sensor yesterday morning, I have been experiencing significant discrepancies in the readings. According to the device's own information, the difference in readings should be no more than 20%, but I am seeing differences between the sensor and finger-stick readings that exceed this. For example, while my finger-stick reading shows 144 mg/dL, the Dexcom sensor app is showing 114 mg/dL at the same time.
I experienced the same issue with my previous sensor, so this is the second consecutive sensor where I have encountered inaccurate readings. Since this directly affects my glucose monitoring, I am concerned about my health and am having difficulty using the sensor because I cannot rely on its readings. If this continues, I am beginning to consider stopping my use of Dexcom sensors altogether. The lot/serial number of the sensor is #127800, and despite having been applied only recently, it has been showing these discrepancies from the very beginning.
Because this issue has occurred repeatedly, I believe the sensor in question may be defective. I request that Dexcom replace the problematic sensor with a new one free of charge and provide me with an explanation regarding this recurring issue. If necessary, I can also provide additional photos and screenshots of the readings.
