I am reporting a defective De'Longhi CGH 900 toaster machine sold in Türkiye. The product failed on first use by tripping the electrical circuit breaker, which clearly indicates a defect from the outset. The device was taken to an authorized service center in Türkiye, but warranty service was refused on the grounds that I am not listed as an “authorized seller.” When I contacted customer service, the same justification was repeated and no solution was offered. This approach is unacceptable. The product is original, and warranty coverage should not depend on the commercial status or listing of the seller. A product that fails immediately upon first use is obviously defective and should be treated as such. All transactions related to this product took place in Türkiye and must be evaluated within the scope of Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102. I expect the brand and its representatives to act in compliance with these legal regulations and with their obligations toward consumers. In addition, the handling of this case by the official distributor Saruhan A.Ş. raises serious concerns about De'Longhi’s representation in Türkiye. The lack of support for a genuine product, despite the clear defect and the consumer’s good faith, damages my trust in the brand and does not meet the level of service I expect from De'Longhi. I request that my warranty be accepted, that the device be repaired or replaced free of charge, and that the practices of the distributor in Türkiye be reviewed so that similar issues do not occur again. If my justified demands are not met, I will pursue my legal rights before the relevant authorities.
