Decathlon Caperlan Fishing Rod Snapped After Few Uses Despite Fiberglass Claim

On 26.04.2025, I ordered a "Caperlan Telescopic Lake Rod - Fishing - 600 cm" from the Decathlon website and began using it. I went fishing a total of 4–5 times. However, on 19.05.2025, the rod broke with a crack at the hooks while I was casting into the river. Upon examining the broken area, I noticed that the material was very brittle and clearly not consistent with fiberglass. It didn’t match the description on the website that claimed, “lakeside is very durable thanks to 100% fiberglass components.” We believed in Decathlon’s quality, trusted it to be good and durable, and made our purchase—but what we got in return was far from what was promised.
