Yesterday, I placed an order through an anonymous texting service that clearly displayed a price of $1. The payment page also showed $1, so I believed I would only be charged that amount. However, I later realized that I had been unknowingly enrolled in a subscription and that the actual charge was based on $50. I did not approve any subscription—I only intended to make a one-time purchase for $1.
When I tried to cancel the subscription through Google and the pages I was redirected to, the system kept looping and would not allow me to complete the cancellation. I was redirected to a third-party site, but I still could not cancel the subscription there. I also attempted to get help via email, but I did not receive any assistance.
Today, I noticed that approximately $62 was charged to my credit card without my knowledge or consent. Not only was I unable to cancel the subscription, but I was also charged a high amount without approval. I absolutely do not accept being enrolled in a costly subscription and charged $62 when I only intended to make a small $0 purchase.
I am requesting that my subscription be immediately canceled, my account be fully closed, and that the $62 charged to my card be fully and urgently refunded.
