Multiple Issues With My Chery Tiggo 8 Hybrid Without Any Resolution

I am the owner of a Chery Tiggo 8 Ultimate Hybrid with registration number FSC70R, purchased through Parramatta Motor Group in Sydney. On 18 March 2026, the sunroof suddenly imploded while I was driving, without any external impact. This was a serious safety incident and completely unexpected in a relatively new vehicle. A few months before this incident, I had already reported a leak from the sunroof area. When I took the vehicle in, I was told that no leak could be found and the car was returned to me without any resolution. Given this history, I am extremely concerned that a previously reported issue was not properly investigated and has now been followed by a major failure of the same component. In addition to the sunroof problems, my vehicle has an ongoing heating issue that Chery has still not resolved, despite this being previously logged and raised with them. This adds to my concern about the overall reliability of the vehicle and the way my complaints are being handled. After the sunroof implosion, I contacted both Chery customer service and the dealer. Chery customer service has not responded to me so far. The dealer verbally stated that the damage would not be covered under warranty, and when I requested this assessment in writing, I am still waiting for a formal response. I am requesting that the sunroof and any associated damage be replaced and repaired free of charge under warranty and that the earlier leak issue and the ongoing heating issue I reported also be properly diagnosed and resolved. I expect Chery and the dealer to take this safety-related incident seriously, to give me a clear written explanation, and to provide a prompt solution without cost to me.
