Carl’s Jr. Restaurant Double-Billed My Account and Stalled Payment Reversal

On August 9 at around 6:00 PM, I experienced a frustrating issue during a QR payment transaction at the Hilltown Mall Carl’s Jr. branch. Although the due amount was $23, the exact same amount was debited from my bank account twice, resulting in a total charge of $46.

I immediately brought the situation to the attention of the staff at the register. I was assured that the duplicate $23 payment would be refunded to my account that very same day. Despite emphasizing that this was urgent, no refund has been issued to date, nor have I been provided with any updates. Even though staff members repeatedly said, "I am informing my manager," I received no clear follow-up, either in writing or verbally.

This duplicate $23 charge represents a significant amount for me, and I need these funds right now. Having the money still not credited to my account—despite explicit verbal assurances from an employee that it would be refunded the same day—is completely unacceptable.

I demand that this transaction be audited immediately, that the extra $23 charge be refunded to my account without delay, and that I be provided with written confirmation regarding the resolution. I am prepared to present bank statements and payment records upon request. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I intend to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and other relevant authorities using these transaction logs.
