I Canceled CapCut Pro Hours After Renewal and Need a Refund
I originally subscribed to CapCut Pro directly through the CapCut desktop application on my computer using my email account and a Visa card. My subscription was scheduled to expire on June 17, 2026. Unfortunately, due to a serious health issue, I was unable to cancel the subscription before the renewal date.
After 3:00 AM, my subscription was automatically renewed, and at approximately 4:41 AM on June 18, 2026, my card was charged approximately $10. As soon as I noticed the charge, I canceled the subscription shortly after 7:00 AM that same morning and immediately submitted a refund request. I have not used CapCut Pro at all during this new billing period and do not intend to use it going forward. Since only a few hours had passed between the renewal and my cancellation request, I believe refusing a refund would be unfair.
When I first started using CapCut, I believed I was making a small one-time purchase of approximately $2. I only used the application occasionally to access a few premium transition effects. I did not expect the subscription to automatically renew at a significantly higher amount. After submitting my refund request, I received a response stating that the matter had been escalated and that I would receive a reply within 14 days. However, I do not believe this situation requires an extended investigation, as the renewed subscription period has not been used and the cancellation was submitted only a few hours after the charge occurred.
I respectfully ask that CapCut take my medical circumstances into consideration and review my case fairly. Since the renewed subscription was canceled immediately and remained completely unused, I request that the approximately $10 charged on June 18, 2026, be refunded to my Visa card as soon as possible.
I have retained and can provide the payment receipt, bank transaction record showing the charge, and screenshots confirming that the subscription was canceled immediately after I became aware of the renewal.
Thank you, they solved the problem.
