Jay Graber owns the decentralised social media app Bluesky. The idea came from within X and was first put forward by Jack Dorsey in 2019.
Bluesky did, however, become its own company in 2021, with Jay Graber as its CEO. As a Public Benefit Corporation, the platform tries to put the public interest and social good ahead of making as much money as possible.
The future looks bright thanks to Bluesky's decentralised structure and open system. The platform's goal is to make the internet a more open and welcoming place for everyone, without any one group controlling it. Bluesky wants to make a long-lasting and user-centred social media experience by giving users and creators more power.
Even though Bluesky is still new, it's clear that it has the ability to change the way social media works. Bluesky could be a big player in the future of social media if it puts a lot of effort into user privacy, building communities, and being open about how its algorithms work.
