On April 25, 2026, around 8:39 PM, my 12‑year‑old daughter bought a white Bershka t‑shirt from your Akbatı Shopping Mall store in Istanbul without trying it on, as she had previously purchased two different colors of the same model and was satisfied with them. When she tried the white t‑shirt at home, we realized that it showed her body lines excessively, so we decided to return it. My neighbor, who was with my daughter during the purchase, also remembers that there was a foundation stain on the t‑shirt at the time of purchase. My daughter even asked her whether the stain would come out, but still bought it because it was the last one in stock. The same stain is still visible, and my 12‑year‑old daughter does not use foundation at all. When I went to the Akbatı Bershka store today to request a refund, the cashier first asked if the product had been washed. I clearly stated that it had only been tried on once at home and had never been washed. Despite this, after consulting a colleague, the employee claimed the product “smelled of perfume,” accused me of lying, and insisted that the product had been used. I explained that in a store environment, a product can naturally carry scents from being tried on by many people, but they refused to listen and did not accept the return. Regardless of the price of the product, my honesty being questioned in public and the disrespectful attitude I encountered are unacceptable, especially as an academic who is sensitive about ethical values. I felt humiliated and deeply upset by being unjustly accused in front of others. I find this employee’s behavior completely incompatible with Bershka’s corporate values. I request that the staff member involved be formally warned about their attitude and communication, and that the emotional distress caused by this incident be addressed. In addition, I request that the purchase price of this t‑shirt be fully refunded. I also have the purchase receipt/transaction document available and can submit it if needed to support the review of this incident.

In my return request, the store staff displayed a disrespectful and accusatory attitude, the return was denied due to stains and perfume smell on the product, I received no response, and I think the brand is not addressing this situation.
