Bepanthol Baby Ointment Caused Burning on My Baby
My baby is 9 months old, and since birth I have only used Bepanthol Baby Diaper Rash Ointment. Until now, we never had any problems—the product always worked very well. However, I recently bought a new 100g tube and used it for the first time on September 30. When I used it again on October 2, even though I applied a smaller amount, my baby experienced severe burning in the diaper area. I waited to see if it would improve, but the irritation got worse, and on October 3, I stopped using the product entirely.
The product I bought expires in 06/2026. Since birth, I have not used any other cream or product—only Bepanthol Baby diaper ointment. I am extremely concerned about what happened and feel genuinely distressed by this situation.
I request a full investigation of the product, a refund, and a clear explanation of how this happened. I also want to state that I am filing a formal complaint because my baby was harmed by this product.
