Since June 2024, I have been unable to withdraw money from my Barclays Bank account. My account balance is $46,640, and I have not been able to access or withdraw this money in any way. During this period, individuals claiming to be Barclays Bank employees have called me from different phone numbers, telling me that my account was inactive, that I needed to take action, and that I had to pay various fees in order to withdraw my funds. In particular, I paid approximately $22,000 under the name of an “insurance fee.” I was also asked to pay an additional 10% tax, but I did not make that payment.
Despite all these demands and payments, I am still unable to withdraw any money from my account, and I have not received a clear or effective solution from official customer service channels. I am requesting the full return of the $46,640 in my account at Barclays Bank’s UK/London branch, including the insurance fee I paid. I want this situation resolved and my financial loss addressed as soon as possible.
