FLO Barbie Kids Sneakers Have Defective Velcro Straps and Pose a Safety Risk

In March 2026, I purchased a pair of Barbie Ela girls’ sneakers for my daughter from the FLO store at 212 Outlet Mall in Istanbul. The shoes are extremely heavy, and the Velcro straps are completely inadequate and constantly come undone. We have not even been able to put the shoes on my four-year-old daughter ten times because the straps repeatedly open while she is walking. As a result, she cannot walk comfortably and is also at risk of falling. I believe this is a serious design flaw with the product.

I personally went to the store and explained the problem, showing the employees the defective Velcro straps and asking them to inspect the shoes. However, the store employees only took photographs and told me that I would be informed of the result by text message. They then simply returned the shoes to me instead of sending them for an actual product inspection. I felt that my complaint was not taken seriously and that no meaningful effort was made to investigate the problem.

I am experiencing a loss both because of the safety risk to my child and because I have not received the value I paid for. Due to the design and Velcro strap defect, I request that these shoes be replaced with a suitable, properly functioning model that my child can wear safely and comfortably.

I also expect FLO to properly investigate the issue and take the necessary steps to prevent other customers from experiencing the same problem.
