Banana Republic Sent Me a Defective Cashmere Sweater and Refused to Accept a Return
When the final bargain cashmere sweater I bought from Banana Republic's web store arrived, I was surprised. The sweater was obviously unworkable with a minor tear along the seam and a clear snag in the front. Given it was a final sale item, I expected it to be in fine condition, however this was obviously damaged. Customer support reassured me when I contacted them that faulty goods could still be returned. They returned the sweater to me after shipping it back, though, saying it wasn't damaged. Being stuck with a defective product is really annoying, and it seems as though Banana Republic's last sale policy is only a means of selling inferior goods.
