On February 14, 2025, I had a conversation with someone on the Azar social media app. Shortly after, they asked for my phone number to continue talking via a live call. As soon as I shared it, they began blackmailing me, demanding money while sending me detailed information about my entire family.
What I don’t understand is how they managed to obtain such sensitive data just from my phone number. They had access to my entire family tree within moments, which raises serious privacy and security concerns.
Because of this experience, I want to publicly declare that I take no responsibility for any illegal or unauthorized activities that may occur using my number or identity. This includes but is not limited to:
Voice or text messages sent from my number
Any transactions, links, videos, or illegal activity associated with my identity
Threats, defamatory statements, or unauthorized use of my name and photos in fake accounts
Additionally, since my family’s private information has also been compromised, they too should not be held responsible for any misuse of their identities.
Azar, how is it possible for users to be exposed to such security risks? I demand an immediate investigation into how personal data is being accessed and used for blackmail. Has anyone else experienced this? Stay cautious!
