AZAL Baku-Ankara Ticket Prices Surge to Unaffordable Levels for Traveling Families
I have been in Baku for about 1.5 months and have been continuously monitoring one-way Baku–Ankara tickets on AZAL. Although I have been checking constantly—especially for August 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24—I cannot find a reasonable price. While I could previously purchase tickets on the exact same route for much more affordable rates, the current prices are causing me significant hardship.
I have a 6-year-old child, and the system charges a full adult fare for them as well. Seeing a total price of around $685 (24,000 TRY) for two people is simply not an affordable figure for me. It feels as though I am paying more in taxes and extra fees than for the actual airfare, and despite waiting a long time for a promotion or discount, I have not encountered an accessible price.
I request AZAL to implement a more reasonable pricing policy—especially for families and passengers traveling with children—review the taxes and additional fees on the Baku–Ankara route, and offer accessible ticket prices on these flights once again. Otherwise, both my financial distress and my loss of trust in the airline will only worsen.
