Azal Airlines Delayed Flight Without Prior Notice

On August 9, 2024, I traveled with Azal Airlines from Baku to Sabiha Gökçen, Turkey, with my two young daughters (ages 8 and 6). Our flight was scheduled to depart at 13:30, so we left home at 11:00, completed our baggage and check-in procedures, and waited. When we inquired about the boarding time, we were told that our flight was delayed until 15:30. There was no prior notification about this delay—not at check-in, nor via email. It was clear that this information had been available to the airport staff, but passengers were not informed. We eventually boarded the plane, only to wait even longer, as the flight departed later than the revised time. I was left exhausted with two small children, and my entire day was ruined. I missed an important job interview, and the people who came to pick me up from the airport were also affected by this ordeal.

This experience was a nightmare, and my nerves were completely frayed. I’ve already submitted this complaint to Azal’s feedback section, provided my ticket number multiple times as requested, and still received no response. They even sent me a polite request not to escalate the issue elsewhere, but they’ve left me with no choice. I demand proper compensation for the inconvenience and stress caused by this poorly managed situation.
