AZAL Baku-Ankara Ticket Prices Surge While System Forces Double Baggage Fees

For about two months, I have been looking for flights from Baku to Ankara. I need to return home to my country with my 6-year-old autistic daughter, who has special needs. Previously, hand-luggage-only tickets for two people were listed at around $230 (8,000 TRY). Currently, when I check Baku–Ankara flights for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, or 25th, tickets with checked baggage for two people are priced at around $527, an amount I simply cannot afford.

Additionally, even though my daughter is only 6 years old, the booking system forces me to select two checked bags during baggage selection and does not provide a single-bag option, further inflating the price and putting me in a difficult situation.

Because my daughter is young and has special needs, traveling is already extremely challenging for us; despite this, I am required to purchase a full-price ticket for her. Such a steep price hike within a short time frame has placed me under severe financial and emotional distress. I need to be in Turkey on the specified dates, but I am unable to return to my home and family due to these flight prices.

I request AZAL to implement a more reasonable and accessible pricing policy on the Baku–Ankara route—especially considering passengers traveling with children or children with disabilities—to allow the selection of a single bag in the booking system, and to review ticket prices for this period.
