I am the owner of a 2025 model electric Kia EV3, which is covered by an Axa Extended Electric Vehicle Comprehensive Insurance policy starting on 15.03.2026. On 19.08.2026, I was involved in a two-vehicle traffic accident resulting in property damage, and my vehicle, which suffered heavy front damage, was towed the same day to Gören Otomotiv in Muğla city center. A damage claim file was opened under the number 12169375, but despite the passage of around 40 days, the process has still not been concluded, which is causing me serious financial and emotional distress. According to the report prepared by the authorized service center, the insurance adjuster also shares the opinion that the vehicle should be declared a total loss. The estimated repair cost is around ₺1,500,000. The service report specifically notes that, as the vehicle is electric, additional malfunctions may arise once power is restored after repairs. In the case of electric vehicles that have been through a serious accident, it is foreseeable that new issues can occur during and after the repair process, and these potential problems may endanger the safety of the driver and passengers as well as overall traffic safety. Despite all these technical findings, Axa insists on opting for repairs and is stalling me by unnecessarily dragging out the process, which I experience as an attempt to avoid payment. I have been forced to use a rental car for approximately 40 days, and I am incurring further losses due to the additional expenses and wasted time arising from this situation. This attitude from Axa, which is known as a leading company in the insurance sector, seriously undermines my trust and is extremely draining for me as a customer. The service center has also stated that, even if the vehicle were to be repaired, the repair process would take at least three months. This extended period, combined with the ongoing rental vehicle issue, is deepening my financial burden and emotional strain day by day and is clearly prolonging my victimization. For all these reasons, I request that my vehicle be declared a total loss in line with the assessments of both the claims adjuster and the authorized service center, that my losses be fully compensated within the scope of the policy coverage, and that all processes that intensify my grievance, including the rental vehicle arrangement, be promptly finalized. I expect this protracted matter to be resolved immediately through an objective and fair evaluation, without being delayed due to the absence of any personal connections or preferential treatment, and I formally demand that my vehicle be written off as a total loss and that my compensation be paid without any further delay.
