I’ve been experiencing a cooling issue and clicking noise with my Arçelik 5231 NHEY model refrigerator, which I purchased about 6 years ago. These problems have persisted for the past week. Following the issue, I contacted the authorized service center in Esenyurt, Istanbul. The service team informed me that the device has a chronic defect and cannot be repaired. They also asked me to pay an additional ₺40,000 to replace the refrigerator with an equivalent model. I believe this demand is unlawful. Even though the warranty period has expired, if a product has a chronic defect, the seller is still liable under the relevant consumer protection laws. My service form number is 497024367. I also contacted Arçelik customer service, but although I was told I would be contacted, I have received no follow-up. As a consumer, I am requesting a free replacement of my product. If my issue is not resolved, I will pursue legal action.
