Anker Rave 160 Not Compatible With New PartyCast Speakers
Several years ago, I purchased an Anker Soundcore Rave 160 speaker for a significant amount of money. Later, because I believed that the newer speakers from the same brand would be compatible and could all be connected together, I also purchased the Boom 2 Plus and Motion Plus models. My intention was to use all of these speakers together through the PartyCast feature.
However, I later learned that the Rave 160 has older software and cannot connect to the newer speakers I purchased. Anker's service team told me that the Rave 160 can only connect to another Rave 160 and does not work with newer-generation speakers. In other words, because of the software and PartyCast system that Anker subsequently changed, the speaker I purchased has effectively become obsolete within Anker's own ecosystem. I paid approximately $245 for this speaker, yet I cannot fully use it even with other products from the same brand.
I contacted Anker and offered to send my Rave 160 speaker to them so that they could update its software or, alternatively, provide me with the newly released Rave 3S model, which is capable of recognizing and connecting with all compatible Anker speakers. However, I received an unhelpful response telling me simply to send the product to KVK and that I would also have to pay the shipping costs myself. There is no physical defect with my product. The problem is entirely related to the software changes and compatibility decisions made by Anker, which have left an existing customer at a disadvantage.
I have been a loyal Anker customer for years and have trusted the brand by continuing to choose its products. Despite this, I am experiencing significant inconvenience because of a software policy that has effectively excluded the Rave 160 from the newer ecosystem, followed by an unhelpful approach when I contacted customer service. My request is clear: I want my Soundcore Rave 160 to be replaced with the newer Rave 3S model, which can recognize and connect with compatible Anker speakers through the PartyCast feature, without any additional charge and without requiring me to bear the shipping costs.
I request that this inconvenience be resolved promptly and that Anker stand behind its customers as a brand I have trusted and chosen for many years.
