Akbank Charged ₺796.5 for Axess Card Despite Promising No First-Year Fee
I was charged ₺796.5 as a card usage fee on my Akbank Axess card in May. When I got this card last year, I was assured that there would be no fee for the first year and that if a fee was charged in the second year, I could call customer service to have it canceled. However, when I reached out to customer service, they informed me that this fee could not be refunded. I also requested them to cancel my card, but there has been no progress on that front either. It's frustrating to deal with this kind of inconsistency, and I'm hoping to get this resolved soon.
Of course, no solution was provided. Apparently, the installment transactions need to be completed to close the card. Please inform those around you so they don't work with such banks.
