Ajet Sold Istanbul–Nakhchivan Ticket as Direct Flight but Made Unannounced Stop in Ganja

September 19, 2025 1:17 AM45

On my September 13 Istanbul–Nakhchivan flight with Ajet, the ticket was sold as a direct flight, yet the plane stopped at Ganja Airport, where passengers were disembarked and boarded, and we were kept waiting for about 1.5 hours. At no point during the booking process was there any mention of a stop in Ganja, which makes selling the ticket as “direct” highly misleading. This caused significant inconvenience and wasted time. I have flown this same route multiple times before, and each time a similar unannounced stop was made in Ganja, resulting in a total loss of more than three hours across my flights. My journeys are usually between Istanbul Airport, Sabiha Gökçen, and Nakhchivan Airport, and never once was I properly informed of this stopover either during the booking process, in-flight announcements, or while waiting at the airport. I am requesting a clear explanation from Ajet as to why these unannounced stopovers continue to occur on flights sold as direct, and I demand compensation for the time lost and the inconvenience caused by this practice.
