AJet Has Refused Fair Compensation For My Damaged Suitcase
I travelled with AJet on flight VF4056 on 6 June 2026 and received my Juicy Couture suitcase in a severely damaged, unusable condition. The damage is irreparable, and the suitcase can no longer be used safely for travel. After reporting the incident, AJet repeatedly requested my original purchase invoice, proof of payment, and photographs of the damaged luggage. I provided all the requested documentation in good faith, including the original invoice, credit card statement, and photographs clearly showing the damage and brand. At the beginning of the process, I was informed that I would be refunded for the suitcase, which is worth 800 USD, provided that I submitted the requested documents. Despite this clear assurance and my full cooperation, AJet ultimately offered only €74 in compensation, claiming that my original invoice did not reflect the suitcase’s market value. This explanation is unacceptable without a transparent breakdown of the valuation, depreciation deductions, and reasons for rejecting the original purchase invoice. AJet repeatedly requested these documents to assess my claim, yet after receiving them, it dismissed my invoice without adequately justifying its decision. I have spent considerable time trying to resolve this matter directly, but my concerns remain unanswered. I request that AJet reassess my claim fairly, honour the initial promise to refund the suitcase based on its stated value of 800 USD, provide a detailed written explanation of its valuation, and offer appropriate compensation for my damaged luggage based on the supporting evidence provided. I also request that my previously submitted expenses, including the replacement suitcase, be addressed separately. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I intend to escalate my complaint through the appropriate Turkish consumer protection and dispute resolution channels. My claim reference for this case is 2600059735.
