Airtel Blames Me for Faulty SIM and Charges ₹50 for Replacement
My Airtel SIM ceased working without any notice, therefore isolating me entirely. I had to visit a physical store since I cannot call Airtel customer service without a working SIM. Surprisingly, I was charged ₹50 to replace the damaged SIM—something I think was not my responsibility to start with. I attempted complaining via the Airtel app, but the automated answers would not let me beyond. I eventually came with an actual person agent after negotiating an unceasing labyrinth of phone menu choices. Sadly, they informed me Airtel's policy holds the consumer responsible should a SIM fail. The fact that a big network like Airtel avoids owning faulty goods irritates me.
