Airbnb Says "All Fees Included" but My Bank Charged More
Yesterday I made an accommodation booking through Airbnb for Northern Cyprus. Throughout the reservation screen and across multiple sections of the page, the total price was consistently shown as $342, with repeated assurances that all fees were included. Trusting this information, I confirmed the payment.
After the transaction, however, I noticed that $353 had been charged to my Yapı Kredi Bank account. When I contacted my bank, I was told that Airbnb had submitted the charge in U.S. dollars, which resulted in an exchange rate difference. When I raised this with Airbnb support, they stated that they had not charged anything beyond the displayed amount and that their receipt reflected the same figure — yet my bank statement clearly shows a higher deduction.
Despite Airbnb consistently displaying a "all fees included" notice and providing no information about any exchange rate difference or additional charge at the payment confirmation stage, a higher amount was taken from my account. I am requesting that the originally displayed price of $342 be treated as the final amount and that the difference resulting from the currency conversion be refunded to me.
