I booked a stay at Moosa Boutique Villas in Sapanca through Airbnb, expecting a relaxing experience. Instead, we were met with an extremely rude and aggressive host.
The house was filthy—dirty, wet towels were stuffed in the cabinets, and the kitchen trash hadn’t even been taken out. The pool wasn’t heated, and the lights didn’t work, despite us repeatedly reporting the issue. The host kept saying they would come to fix it but never did.
Their behavior was beyond unacceptable—they were verbally abusive, intimidating, and even threatening. After increasing the price after we had already booked, they called us one minute after checkout time (11:01 AM) to insult us and then, just 18 minutes later, showed up with the police. In front of the officers, they demanded we leave everything and “just get out.” As we were leaving, they aggressively approached us.
Without even allowing us to clean up, the host later falsely accused us of leaving the place messy and filed a damage claim against us with misleading video evidence.
We trusted Airbnb to ensure safe and reliable stays, but this was a horrific experience. If Airbnb continues to work with such hosts, it will seriously damage its reputation and reliability. I expect Airbnb to take action against this host immediately!
