Air Wick Essential Oil Caused Headache - Nausea Toxic Concern

On 11.02.2026 at around 18:00, I started using an Air Wick electric room fragrance that I bought from the Ceyyil store in İzmit, Kocaeli. The product is marketed in a package as if it contains natural essential oil, but in the oil presented in the package there are substances such as linalool, which are known to cause death in laboratory animals and have toxic effects. After plugging in the device, within about 2–3 hours I began to experience a severe headache, nausea, fever and painful fatigue, and around 22:35 I became extremely unwell. I find it unacceptable and irresponsible that a product that is not natural is marketed with misleading packaging such as “essential oil” and that a content which can cause such serious health problems is sold as if it were safe. In my opinion, selling a product with this kind of health risk and misleading information for the sake of profit is a violation of human health and consumer trust. I am writing this complaint primarily to inform other consumers and to prevent more people from being harmed in the same way. I request that all possible steps be taken regarding this product, including a detailed examination of its content, correction of misleading information on the packaging, necessary warnings for health risks, and, if needed, restrictive measures up to withdrawal from the market, so that consumers are not poisoned with their own money.
