Zara Staff Member Displayed Threatening Behavior at Oxford Street Store

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an alarming incident that took place at Zara, Oxford Street, around 18:00 - 19:00 o’clock on the 11th of November 2024. Involving a staff member who behaved unprofessionally and, ultimately, in a threatening manner toward me. The situation unfolded while I was waiting for my sister in the fitting room area on the third floor. A staff member approached me, demanding I wait outside. When I politely asked if there would be a problem with me waiting 3 meters from the area I was asked to wait, her attitude became hostile. She proceeded about me waited in the corner of the fitting room area while responding to me with attitude and, along with other team members, made derogatory comments about me, including repeatedly saying, “If I wasn’t in my uniform, I would slap you.” This was said loud enough for other customers to hear, many of whom expressed their shock and support for me. The staff member continued to escalate the situation, urging me to “come outside” in a confrontational manner, prompting me to respond similarly due to her tone and aggression. At this point, her behavior was clearly threatening. Security personnel attempted to calm her down, but her demeanor only worsened. A manager with ID number 87*** arrived to address the situation, but instead of taking effective action, she merely apologized and did little to de-escalate or appropriately handle the staff member’s behavior. The staff involved, along with the manager, appeared to treat the matter lightly and even laughed among themselves, which was highly unprofessional. The staff member then accused me of threatening her, which is entirely false and contradictory to the actual events. Later, I spoke with another manager named T***, who was more helpful, but the situation remained unresolved as the staff member continued to lie, undermining any sincerity in the apology given. This experience left me deeply upset and uncomfortable, as I was merely shopping and certainly did not expect to encounter such hostility. During my discussions with the managers, members of the public witnessed the unprofessional and threatening behavior of the female staff member toward me. These bystanders even attempted to support me by offering to serve as witnesses, as they observed the staff member’s conduct while I was speaking with each manager individually.
